Sligo GAA has confirmed that Paul Taylor is staying on as the county’s senior football manager for 2020.
A short statement was issued by the county board at 12pm on Wednesday:
“Sligo County committee at their meeting held on Tuesday August 6th unanimously ratified Paul Taylor as manager of the Sligo Senior football team for the 2020 season. Selectors and backroom team will be announced at a later date.”
In terms of results, Taylor’s first year in charge was disappointing. Sligo lost every one of the 10 competitive matches across the Conancht FBD, league and championship campaigns. This included relegation to Division 4 of the league.
The indications are that there will be changes to his backroom team next year. Details will be confirmed at a later date.
