A Donegal Cllr is seeking a meeting with the Minster for Agriculture Food and the Marine in an effort to secure funding for Killybegs Harbour.
The additional funding is sought to extend the pier for larger fishing vessels and cruise liners as well as the construction of a dry docking facility.
Fianna Fail Cllr Michael Naughton is requesting Minister Michael Creed meet with the Killybegs Harbour Group and councillors from the Donegal Municipal District as soon as possible.
Cllr Naughton says the harbour is of huge economic importance to the South Donegal community.
