The Tusla Child and Family agency is to launch a new public information campaign to recruit more foster carers in the counties of Sligo and Leitrim.
The campaign, which is the first of its type by the agency, aims to dispel all the misconceptions that surrounds who might foster and care for a child.
Events are scheduled to take place in Sligo and Carrick on Shannon next week, in the hope to boast the number of foster parents.
79 foster carers have already opened their homes to 114 children in Sligo and Leitrim.
