The Minister for Transport, Tourism, and Sport has been criticised for his failure to meet with Tourism Ireland officials in 2019.
Sligo Leitrim TD, and Fianna Fáil Spokesperson for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Marc Mac Sharry TD, has made the calls claiming that Minister Ross has only met with Tourism Ireland senior officials twice since taking up his role as Minister.
With The tourism industry worth about €6 billion to the Irish economy every year and employing 300,000 people. Deputy MacSharry say a lot of effort to promote Ireland as a destination has to be put in and Minister Ross needs to adopt a more hands on approach.
