Teagasc, the agriculture and food development authority are to hold a national hill sheep conference in Donegal.
The meeting that takes place on Wednesday the 19th of February in Ballybofey is to focus on hill sheep production but also the contribution of hill sheep farmers to maintaining and enhancing the uplands environment.
Amongst the people attending the the conference will be Colm O’Muireagáin from the regional veterinary laboratory in Sligo who will be giving a presentation on ‘Ticks and tick borne diseases of sheep’
Henry O’Donnell from Clonmany in Donegal will also be giving a talk on ‘The Inishowen Uplands European Innovation Partnership Project’.
The conference runs from 6 pm until 9 pm on Wednesday the 19th of February which is free to attend and everyone is welcome.
