Lough Key Forest Park win top awards



A forest park in the north west has won a national award for best public park.

It’s the Lough Key Forest Park, near Boyle.

It was given the award in a competition organised by the Local Authority Members Association, better known as LAMA.

Louise Fitzpatrick, general manager of the Lough Key Forest Park, has been telling Ocean FM about the award:

Also . . . The Lough Key Forest Park won the ‘Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands Best Tourism Experience’ category, beating off four other nominees in Friday night’s Irish Tourism Industry Awards 2019.

Theat awards ceremony took place in the Clayton Hotel in Dublin.
