A woman has been released from a Garda station in Leitrim after she was arrested on suspicion of threatening a rape victim.
Gardaí had arrested the woman in connection with an allegation of making threats to kill or cause harm to the injured party in the trial, which concluded at the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Monday.
The woman, in her early 20’s was released during the early hours of this morning with a file to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardai confirmed that investigations are still ongoing.
On Monday, two men were jailed for seven years for raping a woman at a house in 2017.
Both men had pleaded not guilty and, after the sentence was handed down, some of their supporters were heard shouting at the woman.
