Train journeys on the Sligo-Dublin line are likely to be delayed by 10 to 20 minutes this weekend because of a speed restriction on the line between Carrick on Shannon and Dromod because of flooding.
The section of railway continues to to be plagued by flooding despite having been raised by half a metre during the past few years.
Barry Kenny, of Irish Rail, says it's indicative of the trend when it comes to flooding.
