Dual citizenship holders struggling to obtain driving licences in Leitrim

Leitrim Councillors will hear today at their monthly meeting the challenges many Irish Citizens are experiencing when it comes to obtaining a drivers licence.

It’s expected that the Sinn Fein Councillor Padraig Fallon will urged the local authority to contact the minister for transport, the department of transport and the RSA to rectify the and amend the current legislation which requires Irish citizens to prove citizenship before they can obtain a licence.
