31 Local Enterprise offices across the country are kicking off Local Enterprise Week today.
Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are set to hold 44 events across the week to support small firms and foster entrepreneurship.
Local Enterprise Offices are celebrating Local Enterprise Week 2020 from today, Monday, March 2nd to Friday, March 6th to help people plan, start or grow their very own business in 2020.
In the North West, Donegal have a 29 event programme full of guest speakers and local talent holding talks right across the week.
The events range from machine automation, to digital marketing expos, food marketing and branding and leadership lessons in sport.
Kicking things off with ‘The Language of Leadership – Communicating with purpose’ talk in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny at 2pm today.
Tomorrow, Tuesday events focus on digital marketing, the future of manufacturing and performance management for SME’s.
Wednesday will open up an insight into food businesses on how they can marketing and brand their businesses. Journalist Richard Curran will also being holding a breakfast morning in the Radisson Blu hotel talking about his thoughts on how Donegal businesses can position themselves to maximise their opportunities arising from Brexit.
Thursday will see a talk on the Creative Coast with Ireland’s leading stylist Paula Hughes delivering a creative styling workshop in Lough Eske Castle.
And on Friday three record breaking managers in GAA and hockey, Brian Cody, Arlene Boyles and Martin Hughes will participate in a business conference sharing secrets and sacrifices that made them champions in their field.
In Leitrim, they are to hold 6 events with all events bar one taking place in Carrick on Shannon. Today’s starts with a talk on ‘Search Engine Optimization’ which is a one to one clinic in The Hive.
Tomorrow see’s the ‘Student Enterprise Awards County Final in the Bush Hotel with the National County Awards taking place on Wednesday in The Landmark Hotel.
Thursday’s event is ‘How to leverage Finance for Business’ in conjunction with the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection in the Hive.
Friday will see a celebration of ‘Made in Leitrim’ and the ‘Creative Talent’ launch in The Dock. The final event will take place in the Mullingar Park Hotel with an event named ‘Women Making it Happen’. This is in conjunction with Westmeath and Longford enterprise offices.
And finally to Sligo who are set to hold 9 events over the course of the week.
Today’s event which takes place in City Hall in the town are Food Business Development Clinics which run from 10am until 5pm.
Tomorrow see’s 3 events taking place. The first talk is in the Sligo Park Hotel about ‘How LEAN business principles can save you money from 8.30 until 10am. From 11am there will be a workshop on ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ in City hall and to finish the day off a ‘Start your own business programme’ will also be running in City Hall from 6 until 9pm.
Wednesday sees 2 events in ‘Work Smarter – Digital Productivity for your business’ which takes place in the Glasshouse from 9:30am and there will 1 on 1 social media clinics all day in City Hall.
There is only one event for Thursday which will be on ‘Trading Online Information Seminar ‘ from 9:30 am in City Hall.
A ‘Managing your Childcare Business’ talk will be taking place in the City Hall from 6-9pm on Friday.
To finish the week an ‘Introduction to Instagram for Business’ event will also take place in City Hall on Saturday from 10:30am until 5pm.
