Donegal hurlers win league title

Donegal lifted the Allianz Hurling League Division 3A title on Sunday afternoon in Carrickmore with a dramatic 1-18 to 0-19 win against Armagh in the final.

Mickey McCann’s side led at the end of a wind-assisted first half by 1-10 to 0-7 – but they were pushed hard by the Orchard men in the second 35 minutes, before holding on to win by two.

Donegal were relegated from Division 2B last season. Now they go straight back up.

The Donegal bainisteoir spoke with Charlie Collins after the game:

Allianz Hurling League Division 3A final
Donegal 1-18 Armagh 0-19

Division 3B
Fermanagh 0-14 Sligo 3-21
(Sligo will play Leitrim in next Sunday’s 3B final)
