A Sligo-based Traveller advocacy group says members of the Traveller community face particular difficulties in adhering to coronavirus restrictions such as self-isolation and physical distancing.
Jamie Murphy, of the Sligo Traveller Support group, says this is because of the lack of investment in housing, and even in basic water and toilet facilities, for Travellers.
A special Covid-19 Hotline has now been set up for the Traveller community on 087 126 4606.
