The fourth day of counting in the Seanad elections gets under way today with 33 of the 60 seats filled so far.
Nineteen of those are sitting Senators, while seven are former TDs who lost their seats in the General Election.
Three of the vocational panels and both university panels have been filled.
The Labour panel count was completed last night, Martina Harkin- Kelly from Ballisodare and Ardara’s Eileen Flynn were unsuccessful in their attempts to secure seats.
Counting will continue this morning to fill the remaining 16 seats on the vocational panels.
Counting of votes will also take place later for the 9 seats on the industrial and commercial panels.
Sligo County Council Cathaoirleacht Tom MacSharry along with Donegal native and Dublin Fine Gael Councillor and Donegal native Danny Byrne will be contesting seats.
