A Sligo Councillor is urging residents of the county to continue to use the Greenstar recycling depot in Sligo Town when it comes to deposing of waste.
A serious fire occurred at the Greenstar recycling plant earlier this week, however collection and deposit services are still available at the facility which is situated at Deep Water Quay in Sligo.
Cllr Thomas Healy says with a major problem already with illegal dumping in the north west, he is appealing to the general public continue to dispose of waste in a responsible fashion:
