The President of the National Council of Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association says the responsibility for the landslide and major destruction caused to Property in Drumkeeran lies at the feet of successive governments and the local authority.
Colm O’ Donnell says allowing planning permission for countless afforestation’s in Leitrim is contributing to natural disasters like the one which occurred in Drumkeeran last weekend.
Speaking to the Lunchtime news on OceanFM, Mr O’Donnell placed the responsibility for the disaster at the feet of the Leitrim County Council’s environment section and successive Governments.
