There was major power cut in Sligo town centre this afternoon.
Traffic Lights were out of order and business premises along O'Connell Street, Grattan Street, Wine Street, Adelaide Street and Rockwood Parade areas were also affected by the outage for a time.
Power was restored to most premises in the town shortly after 4pm.
The ESB confirmed 488 households in the Cranmore area were also without electricity.
