A range of services are to be provided from two primary health centres to be built in north Sligo.
The HSE has described it as a ‘hub and spokes’ solution to the care needs of residents in in the region.,
One of the primary care centres is to be built in Grange while a smaller centre will be constructed in Drumcliff; both to be overseen by one medical team.
It’s expected they will be completed before the end of next year.
Contracts have been signed for the Drumcliff site while it’s expected contracts will be signed for the Grange site in early December.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, local Fianna Fail Councillor Donal Gilroy, a member of the HSE Forum West, has been outlining the range of services that will be available.
