It’s emerged that the transport provider, ‘Local Link’ is planning to develop a new rural transport hub in the Leitrim town of Drumshanbo.
The proposal was contained in a presentation on the future of rural transport services in the county which was made to the Councillors of the Ballinamore Municipal District.
Drumshanbo based Councillor, Enda McGloin says the plan when finalised will mean rural areas will be linked up other local major towns and villages.
Cllr McGloin says that if this project goes ahead up to 20 buses could be servicing Drumshanbo on a daily basis.
