More calls to deal with situation of cross-border workers

Fresh calls have been made to resolve the situation that involves cross border workers paying tax in the both the Republic and Northern Ireland if they work from home.

Fermanagh MLA Jemma Dolan says the decision taken by some companies in the north not to allow staff work from home if they live in the south is impacting workers from border counties, including Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo.

She also claims that these workers will not be able to access the same flexible working conditions as their colleagues who live in the north

She says the situation has become more noticeable during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has led to a huge increase in home-working.
