A Sligo Councillor is calling for domestic turf saving in the north west to be allowed continue.
Sinn Féin Councillor Thomas Healy claims that many people have no viable alternative when it comes to heating their homes.
Cllr Healy says it’s unfair for local residents to be prevented from future turf saving while the County continues to import milled peat from fellow EU countries which are supposed to be under the same regulations and agreements as Ireland
