GLAS balancing payments for 2020 are commencing ahead of schedule this week.
Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue made the announcement today that €26.6m will be made to 43,400 farmers who are participating in the scheme.
90% of participants have now been paid in full of their 2020 commitments.
GLAS Tranche 1 and 2 participants also have their contracts extended until December 2021 with over 95% of eligible farmers taking up the scheme.
