Concern is being expressed in Leitrim for the users of the local link transport service.
It’s emerged that a number of local providers have lost out on contracts that they previously had secured providing transport to various towns.
There are also reports that the contracts to provide the transport service on a number of these routes have gone to transports providers as far away as the South East.
Drumkeerin Councillor Padraig Fallon says local jobs are in danger of being axed and that customers may have get accustomed to a more non assistance scheduled service in the future.
