Sligo Gardaí are issuing an appeal for witnesses to a road traffic collision that occurred over the weekend.
A section of Pearse Road in Sligo Town was closed temporarily following the incident involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian on Saturday at around 3pm.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage is encouraged to contact Sligo Garda Station on 071-915-7000.
The route from the Sligo Park Hotel to the Carraroe roundabout was closed for a time Saturday and Sunday as Garda forensic teams caried out their investigation, the route has now fully reopened.
