Warning issued in relation to high tides

With High tides expected to hit beaches in the North West from today holidaymakers have been warned in relation to parking cars at locations such as Streedagh beach.

From today until Mondayhigh tides are expected to hit beaches locally in the afternoon and early evening time.

In a past a number of motorists have returned to find their cars submerged in water after being unaware of the high tide.

Sligo Independent Councillor Marie Casserly is urging those attending beaches should check the the tiems of tides
