Four more people have lost their lives on Irish roads.
They were killed in a multi-car crash in county Galway.
It happened yesterday evening on the M6 near Junction 15 close to Ballinasloe at around 7.15pm last night.
All 4 people were pronounced dead at the scene, while at least one other person has been hospitalised with minor injuries.
It’s believed a car had been travelling the wrong way down the motorway and hit two other vehicles.
Gardai are also this morning appealing for witnesses to a serious three car crash in County Longford.
Two of the five people treated at the scene have been taken separate hospitals.
Three cars were travelling on the R198 at Cahanagh, Drumlish Road when they collided at ten to 3 yesterday afternoon.
A woman in her late 50s driving one of the cars is in a serious condition at Tullamore Hospital.
While another woman in her early 50s driving the second car has been airlifted to Tallaght Hospital in Dublin, where she’s in a serious condition.
