A Donegal TD says the government has repeatedly failed to listen to the fishing industry when it comes to a penalty points system,
Sinn Fein Deputy, Padraig MacLochlainn says workers are in favour of implementing such a policy but only when it is ‘fair, just and equitable.’
Government Ministers claim all issues have been addressed and rectified however, Deputy MacLochalinn disputes this saying ‘nothing has been learned.’
He says the legislation has the same serious flaws as the current system.
