Sligo University Hospital has the highest number of Covid-19 patients being treated in the country today with 59, according to the latest HSE figures.
The number has risen steadily over the last number of weeks from 11 Covid patients on the 1st of February.
Letterkenny University Hospital also has a high number of patients receiving treatment for the virus with 32.
None of these patients are in the ICU, however, there are no intensive care beds available in either hospital.
There are 661 confirmed Covid-19 cases in irish hospitals today, 46 of whom are in an ICU.
Letterkenny and Sligo University Hospital are also the third and fifth most impacted nationally when it comes to overcrowding today.
76 patients in total are waiting for a bed in the north west; 42 in Letterkenny and 34 in Sligo.
470 people are waiting around the country today.
