Concerns are being expressed that a lack of information on sustainable energy is resulting in many people across the north west not being able to insulate their homes.
Ballymote Tubbercurry Councillor Dara Mulvey is calling for Sligo to be selected as a location for a SEAI ONE STOP SHOP to assist and enable people to access and apply for the recently announced National Retrofit Scheme.
Cllr Mulvey says having to complete the application is preventing many people from availing of the grants.
The Fine Gael Councillor information on retrofitting homes is more important than ever due to rising energy costs.
