Calls are being made on Sligo County Council to carry out a survey to discover the cause of water consistently overflowing onto the road by Lough na Suil.
A joint motion by Councillor’s Gerard Mullaney and Martin Baker is being submitted to the meeting of the Ballymote/Tubbercurry Municipal District meeting on Monday.
It’s calling on the local authority to find the cause of flooding on the L59040 and nearby farmland which can only be crossed by a tractor according to Councillor Mullaney.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor Mullaney says the flooding in recent years is an inconvenience for locals.
