Gardaí investigating a fatal house fire in Doochary, Co Donegal on Tuesday last have charged a man in his 60s, who was arrested in respect of an alleged offence of criminal damage.
He is due to appear before a special sitting of Sligo District Court this morning, at 10.30am.
A woman in her 80s died in the fire which broke out at a house in the Doochary in the townland of Coolvoy on the afternoon earlier this week.
Emergency services attended the scene and Fire brigade personnel brought the blaze under control.
The body of the woman was found inside the house.
On Tuesday night, a man in his 60s was arrested in respect of an alleged offence of criminal damage.
