The Sunday Independent reports an American alcohol company are in the ‘advanced stages’ of acquiring Sligo based Lough Gill Distillery.
It’s reported the potential acquisition by Sazerac is in the tens of millions of euro.
The distillery was founded in 2014 by David Raethorne.
Sazerac purchased the Paddy Irish Whiskey brand from Irish Distillers, a subsidiary of the French drinks conglomerate Pernod Ricard, in 2016 which also own the Jameson and Powers brands.
