A Sligo Councillor has described as’ a worrying development’ warnings from Irish water urging homeowners to conserve water.
Irish water recently issued the warnings citing concern over the low rainfall level since Christmas and the fact that Irish households admit to wasting water.
Sligo Drumcliff Councillor Thomas Healy says there are legacy issues in relation to the supply of water in parts of this region including the north Sligo area.
Cllr Healy says these issues need to be addressed so as there will be no further disruption to water supplies in the summer ahead.
