Sligo University Hospital is actively seeking funding approval for two posts to enhance diabetes services on the campus.
The hospital says that two Advanced Nurse Practitioners are needed – one for the adult and one for the for the ongoing development of the Paediatric pump service, both for type 1 diabetes.
The issue was raised at the latest sitting of the Regional Health Forum West by Sligo Fianna Fail Cllr Donal Gilroy.
