Two teenage members of Sligo Rowing Club have been selected for the Ireland team to compete at the ‘Coup de la Jeunesse’ international regatta in Spain next month.
Rohan O Hara-Nolan from Mountcharles, and Rosses Point’s Alannah Donohoe will be part of the Ireland team competing in Terrassa in Catalonia.
This is a prestigious Junior European event with 16 countries competing – and it runs from August 5-7th.
Tommy Colsh, who’s a senior coach at Sligo Rowing Club, spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan about the duo’s Ireland selection.
Elsewhere, another Sligo rower, Brian Colsh, is on the Ireland team for the forthcoming World U23 Rowing Championships in Italy.
