Legislation giving effect to the Mica redress scheme passed its final stage in the Seanad yesterday.
It’ll now goes to the President for signing.
Senators backed the scheme by 30 votes to 12.
The Bill’s passage saw Fine Gael and Donegal TD Joe McHugh vote against the Government and lost the party whip.
