Garth Brooks fans derailed over lack of transport options



Its emerged that Irish Rail has no current plans to provide a nightly service from Dublin to Sligo for any of the dates of the upcoming Garth Brooks gigs.

 

This is despite the national rail provider announcing plans to run a night service from Dublin to Cork the nights of the Croke park concerts.

 

It comes as over half a million tickets for the gigs have been sold nationwide.

 

Speaking to Oceanfm news Sinn Fein TD Pearse Doherty says the cost of living crisis coupled with hotels in the capital charging hundreds of euro is leaving people in an impossible situation and Irish rail has a duty to people living in the northwest:
