Sligo Rovers keep Euro hopes alive with 2-0 win



Sligo Rovers kept their ambitions of European qualifiction alive with a 2-0 home win against Drogheda United on Saturday night.

Goals from Frank Liivac in the first half – and an Aidan Keena penalty in the second – ensured Rovers collected the three points.

They remain fifth in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division table with eight games to go.

Fourth place St Patrick’s Athletic are on 48 points following Friday night’s 2-1 win against Finn Harps.

Rovers are fifth on 41 points.
