The Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue team were ‘unleashed’ this week to assist a casualty in the region.
The team were tasked by An Garda Siochana yesterday to a dog that had fallen from a 25 metre cliff and was injured and unable to walk.
The dog was assessed, packaged and evacuated by stretcher back to the car park.
It was a ‘ruff’ day for Lilly, who was brought to a local vet for further treatment.
Sligo Leitrim Mountain rescue has thanked Garda Síochána Sligo/Leitrim for their assistance.
