A Donegal TD says it’s frightening that there are over 90 people waiting on beds at the North West’s two main hospitals in mid-September.
Donegal TD Thomas Pringle was reacting to the latest set of trolley watch figures which were released today by the INMO.
The figures report that there are 51 people waiting on hospital beds at Sligo University Hospital and 41 at Letterkenny University Hospital.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation data say nationally the figure stands at 556.
The Independent TD says today’s figures will do little to instil confidence in the health service ahead of the expected winter crisis.
