Killybegs’ Niall Erskine to run for GAA Presidency

Donegal GAA has formally nominated Killybegs native Niall Erskine to be the next President of the GAA, when Annual Congress votes for a new Uachtarán at next year’s Annual Congress.

Tuesday night’s meeting of the county executive voted to put Erskine’s name forward as a candidate in 2023.

Erskine is former Trustee of the GAA – and has served as Chairperson of the Association’s World Council for the past few years.

He was previously deeply involved with London GAA – and is a former Club Development Officer with his native Killybegs.
