There’s further pressure on Sligo County Council to implement safety measures in Ballygawley village.
There are ongoing concerns from the community there over the speed some motorists are travelling through the village.
The issue is said to have escalated over the last few years and while a pedestrian crossing has been installed in the village it’s thought a number of other measures are also needed.
Local Cllr Thomas Walsh is calling on Council engineers to come up with the funding and get the work done:
