Efforts are to be ramped up ensure the Electoral Register in County Sligo will be up to date for upcoming elections.
The issue was raised by Cllr Gerard Mullaney at the latest sitting of Sligo County Council.
Cllr Mullaney also believes that there is an ‘electoral deficit’ in Sligo and is calling on the Council to carry out a review as it relates to seat allocation.
