A Sligo Cllr is calling for a multiagency meeting over the legitimacy of beggars in Sligo town.
The call comes as a similar meeting which is due to take place in Letterkenny next week regarding the issue.
There’s ongoing concern that some of those begging on the streets of the North West may be disingenuous.
