Summerhill College senior gaelic footballers drew 2-16 a-piece with St Gerald’s of Castlebar in Friday’s Connacht Colleges senior ‘A’ football championship game at Markievicz Park.
The game was part of the round-robin stage of the ‘A’ championship.
The result sees Summerhill move onto three points from two matches played to date.
They beat Rice College Westport in their opening game before Christmas on a final scoreline of 2-12 to 1-13.
Summerhill are currently second in Group 1 behind leaders Claregalway who have won their two group games to date.
Summerhill and Claregalway will meet in their final group match on January 18th.
The top two teams from the group will qualify for the provincial semi-finals.
