The January monthly meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District of Leitrim county council was told yesterday that residents with mobility issues require assistance when it comes to securing access to a housing estate in Dromahair.
Once again yesterday councillors heard concerns over the Acres Estate.
It was claimed that footpaths were not finished and there is also a lack of public lighting in the estate.
A long running campaign has been ongoing for the local authority to charge of the Acres Estate and as problems continue to impact residents frustration levels among residents is increasing.
Cllr Mary Bohan tabled a motion on the issues at yesterday’s meeting.
She says over the last number of years various commitments have been provided in relation to when the issues would be addressed however as of yet no action has been taken.
