Martin McHugh is a Connacht winning championship goalkeeper from 1994. He enjoyed a stellar career as Gaelic footballer but his life also off the pitch is also dramatic.
Martin has had two serious health scares with testicular and prostate cancer.
He has shown remarkable character in leading a full life that has included him continuing to play club football well past the age of 50.
The Aughnasheelin man has recently published his autobiography entitled ‘born to save’.
