Sligo Grammar School student Maebh McLoughlin has been called into the Ireland under-18 international hockey squad.
The squad will take part in a series of training camps, including matches in Poland and France over the coming months in preparation for the final squad selection for the European under-18 hockey championships, which are scheduled to take place in Krenfeld, Germany, in early July.
McLoughlin, who’s 16, is a fifth-year student at Sligo Grammar School.
As she was with the under-16 Ireland squad last year, McLoughlin is the sole player from Connacht to be selected for this Ireland under-18 hockey panel.
