Leitrim are top of Division 4 of the Allianz Football League on scoring difference with two wins from two, after Sunday’s dramatic 3-12 to 1-15 victory over 14-man London in Ruislip.
Keith Beirne scored 1-7 for the winners in a match which had several twists and turns and kept the sizeable crowd of 800 spectators captivated throughout.
The home side asked plenty of questions of Andy Moran’s side in this enteraing contest – and they played some of their best football when a man down in the closing quarter of the contest, following Henry Walsh’s red card.
Goals from Keith Beirne, Donal Wrynn (who later went off injured) and Tom Prior looked like propelling Leitrim to a handsome victory -but London came roaring back in the closing stages, scoring five unanswered points to close the game to two points in the closing stages.

However, Leitrim showed the resolve to close out the game by three points – and secure back-to-back league wins.
The top the division on scoring difference ahead of Laois – and now prepare to face Wexford (away) in two week’s time.
