Serious concern has been raised over what’s been described a major downgrade in services at St. Joseph’s Special School in Ballytivnan.
The school caters for students with special needs yet there’s said to be a gradual reduction in vital services at the school over the last three years.
This has resulted in no speech and language therapist on site along with the absence of a range of other services.
Local Cllr Thomas Walsh believes the root of the problem is a reconfiguration of services by the HSE.
He says these children should be prioritised and both and parents and staff are deeply worried:
