Donegal captain Paddy McBrearty will miss this Sunday’s Allianz Football League Division 1 game against Monaghan this Sunday in Clones because of a hamstring injury.
The Kilcar man came off injured in the closing quarter of Donegal’s eight-point loss to Tyrone two week’s ago.
The indications are the injury could keep the 29-year-old out of action for several weeks.
McBrearty scored the winning point for Donegal against Kerry on the opening weekend of the league.
His absence for the next few weeks for Donegal would represent a significant setback for new manager Paddy Carr.
Sunday’s Division 1 game between Monaghan and Donegal will be live on Ocean FM Sport on 105fm from 1:45pm.
